Training pays off for Peppard’s team

Peppard Building Supplies team members are celebrating after completing another year of successful training programmes.

Over the past year, Peppard’s staff have taken part in a variety of courses, from practical skills such as manual handling and vehicle mounted cranes through to first aid and sales training.

Most recently the team welcomed a new first aider after Matt Clements successfully completed a three-day St John’s Ambulance course.

Matt, who is one of our telesales team members, took part in the ‘first aid at work’ course as part of Peppard’s on-going commitment to staff training.

Sales and marketing director Ru Butler said: “As a business we are committed to ensuring that we invest in staff development.

“Our team members have taken part in a number of courses in order to ensure that they are up to date with best procedures and, of course, take advantage of opportunities to learn new skills.”

All of Peppard’s delivery drivers have completed their Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training. Meanwhile some of the sales staff have taken part in a three day technical training course with leading brick manufacturer Ibstock.

“Our brick supplies and matching service is something that gets great feedback from customers and so we are very proud of it,” Ru said. “However, when the opportunity came to take part in this Ibstock course, Neil, Steve and James jumped at it.

“While we think our service is good, we are aware there is always an opportunity to learn and deliver more for our customers. Our commitment to staff training is very much part of that emphasis on improvement.”
